DARTMOUTH TO FOWEY
Boats to be used:
6.2m Ribeye Dive: Skipper + 4 passengers
7.2m Ribeye Dive: Skipper + 5 passengers
Both boats are MCA/Dtp Cat.3 coded.
Preliminary itinerary:
ALL TIMES ARE APPROXIMATE.
Saturday 25th May 2002
0900
Meet at Gunfield Hotel. Coffee/Tea
& Bacon Baps. Safety briefing.
0945
Leave Dartmouth for Salcombe.
1100
Arrive Salcombe for Coffee.
1145
Leave Salcombe.
1315
Arrive Plymouth, Queens Anne's
Battery Marina for lunch.
1430
Leave QAB, short trip up around
Devon Port, up River Tamar.
1530
Leave Plymouth Sound and head for
Fowey following the coast as much as possible.
1730
Arrive in Fowey. Drop passengers
on town quay. Berths booked on Visitor's pontoon for Ribs.
Ribs refuelled before securing for the night ready for
morning's departure.
Sunday 26th May 2002
1000
Depart from Fowey.
1200
Arrive at River Yealm. Continue
up river to Newton Ferrers for lunch.
1400
Leave River Yealm. Continue along
South Devon Coast back to Dartmouth.
1730
Arrive Dartmouth. Gunfield Hotel
for after cruise drinks and farewells.
Notes:
Organisers will supply all lifejackets.
Customers will be required to supply their own waterproof
clothing unless prior arrangement is made with Ribeye. It
is essential that good waterproofs and thermals are worn
for this trip.
Decision will be finalised on Thursday
23rd May by organisers depending on weather forecasts etc.
Personal kit will need to be packed
in totally waterproof bags. This must be kept to an absolute
minimum, as storage space is limited on the RIBs.
