We are delighted to announce that INTERNATIONAL RIB SERVICES
have purchased their first Ribeye and have ordered a second
to add to their RIB fleet. The Ribeyes will be used for training
and corporate events. IRS is one of the most prestigious training
schools in the UK and overseas and Ribeye are delighted to
have their endorsement of the Ribeye brand.
RYA Training
IRS via the Michael Morgan Powerboat School is an RYA recognised
teaching establishment and offers a full range of powerboat,
motor cruising and shore based courses.
Instructors are RYA Yacht Master and Power Boat qualified.
Each has spent many years skippering numerous different types
of craft, operating world-wide and in different environments
ranging from the Arctic Circle to the Far East.
IRS skippers are specialist RIB coxswains and instructors
with both operational and training experience in some of the
most hazardous conditions in the world. IRS are able to offer
a variety of RIB courses from beginner to advanced plus high
speed navigation and rough weather handling as taught by the
Royal Marines. Courses can also be tailored to suit customers
specific requirements within this specialist environment.
IRS are currently involved in running advanced RIB courses
for H M Customs and Excise within the UK and have just completed
a Maritime Counter Terrorist Course with the Singapore Police.
Maritime Events
IRS are able to provide support and safety RIBs for maritime
events at all times of the year. Some of the tasks that IRS
carry out include: course laying, spectator control, security
and safety cover, and ferrying media crews, competitors and
VIPs.
In 1998 IRS were charged with operating the support RIBs
and safety team for the Transatlantic Windsurf Race. They
also supplied the safety team for the successful Round Britain
and Ireland Windsurf Challenge in 1999.
Corporate
2001 was a great success for IRS. Not only did they run their
own events on the Solent, the River Thames and various venues
abroad but they have also supplied comprehensive support packages
for other companies that specialise in corporate training,
team building and entertainment both at home and abroad.
Their fleet of RIBs has been the cornerstone of their success.
Fast, fun, agile and diverse, these craft can be used for
a wide variety of applications on any waterborne event. So
whether it be a treasure hunt, kidnap or just a pleasant day's
