| RIBs from 2.8m to 8.00m
make up the Ribeye range. The Wavecross 4.50, Playtime 600 powered
by a Yamaha F115 and Sports 750 powered by a Yamaha F225 are
available for demonstration rides on pontoons 56, 57 & 58.
Ribeye's sister company Ribtec
is exhibiting their impressive 700 SX fitted out with an inboard
diesel engine.
The 2002 range has been extensively redesigned to include
new splashwells, decks, console and seating. New moulded decks
incorporate a patented rail system, which allows deck equipment
and seating options to be fitted or moved very simply.
The system comprises 2 flush fitting aluminium rails running
the full length of the deck onto which accessories are attached.
This enables weight distribution to be altered easily which
is essential to achieve optimum boat handling and performance.
This option is also very important given the huge choice in
engines and their different weights.
For 2002 all production has been transferred to South Africa.
This has made available to the European market a highly comprehensive
range of quality - built RIBs at prices not previously available.
This has been reflected by an amazing level of sales during
the first part of the season.
The Ribeye range is powered exclusively by Yamaha and is
available nation-wide throughout the Yamaha dealership. Ribeye
representatives are on the Yamaha stand.
To coincide with the 2002 range a comprehensive new web site
has been launched which features all the new boats and lists
dealer details as well as many after sales services.
Ribeye produce a new full colour brochure and pricelist, both
of which have been designed to be used in conjunction with
the web site. "I look upon the web site as our living
brochure. We have had excellent feedback about the new site
since its launch. It seems to be working really well,"
says John Wood Sales Manager.
