All levels of experience considered and on the job training included.

Experience with outboard and inboard engines, steering systems, electronics, and navigation equipment is preferred.

Stock & Purchasing Manager

Ribeye Boats are looking for a highly capable individual to manage stock inventory and purchasing for our custom RIB boats and superyacht tenders. You will be analysing supply chain data to ensure stock availability, placing purchase orders, and transferring stock, and maintaining purchase reports.

We are looking for someone who is motivated, organised and interested in a fast-paced and varied role. This is a great opportunity to be part of our award-winning company at a very exciting stage. Stock Manager Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ordering stock and ensuring all orders are on schedule for commencing boat builds.
  • Checking all stock on receipt and ensuring that correct part numbers and quantity has been received and the stock has been marked up correctly.
  • Delivering correct materials/quantities to the boat project on time.
  • Liaising with Team Leaders to assess forthcoming boat build projects.
  • Creation of BOMs for individual parts, sub-assemblies, and finished products.
  • Modify/Update existing BOMs to meet the needs of new custom boat parts.
  • Work collaboratively with Design and Engineering departments.
  • Placing and receiving orders to replenish stocks as needed and ensure all parts are in stock two weeks prior to fit out/production.
  • Performing regular inventory audits and keeping stock purchasing within budget.
  • Analyzing supply chain data to ensure the uninterrupted availability of stock.
  • Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock.
  • Tracking shipments as well as resolving delays.
  • Reporting and liaising any missing/damaged stock to the supplier.
  • Maintaining a steady flow of stock from delivery to allocated boat project.
  • Perform stock takes, reconciling stock records with physical counts of parts.
  • Completing BOM adjustments as requested by the Team Leaders.
  • Ensuring the goods in and out area is used efficiently – which will involve being hands-on!

Skills & Requirements:

  • Previous stock and logistics experience ideally in the Marine sector or related industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of production and stock control systems.
  • Strong Office skills; high proficiency in Excel is a plus.
  • Be very proactive in recognizing a potential problem, showing the ability to take control and solve the problem ahead of time.
  • Very self-motivated and able to work on their own as well as in a team.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and logical thought processes.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Hands-on proactive approach.

Salary:

Nature of the role:

You will be required to help lead and work within our busy GRP department primarily with works including:

  • Production of hull, deck, and small mouldings, involving the infusion
  • Wet and hand lay methods
  • Abiding by technical drawings and instructions
  • Development and manufacture of new moulds
  • General workshop duties
  • Contributing to the assembly of the craft
  • Leading a team

Skills:

  • Industry experience preferred
  • Experience with infusion desirable
  • Managing a team

You will be required to work within our busy GRP department on works including:

  • Polishing
  • Filling and fairing
  • Gel and Fibreglass repairs
  • Mould movements
  • Removal of imperfections
  • Prepping jobs for spraying
  • General workshop duties

Skills:

  • Experience in gel application preferred
  • Previous knowledge of GRP desirable but not essential

  • Competitive rate dependent on experience
